Does anyone have a US zipcode map file?
I'd like to plot some data by US zipcode onto a map of US zipcodes. The built in one for SPSS is for states, but not for zipcodes. -- Sent from: http://spssx-discussion.1045642.n5.nabble.com/ ===================== To manage your subscription to SPSSX-L, send a message to [hidden email] (not to SPSSX-L), with no body text except the command. Hi Chris,
You can check out the Census Bureau's Zip Code Tabulation Areas (ZCTA) files. They are not exact delivery areas, but represent a pointer to a shapefile that approximates the Postal Service's ZIP code table. There are quite a few datasets available by ZCTA. Thanks, Robert. I did find those shape files. Have you had any luck
converting a .shp file into an .smz file using the Utilities>Map Conversion Utility? This hasn't worked for me. -- Sent from: http://spssx-discussion.1045642.n5.nabble.com/ ===================== To manage your subscription to SPSSX-L, send a message to [hidden email] (not to SPSSX-L), with no body text except the command. Hey Chris,
No, but I have used them in conjunction with population estimates for producing overlay maps in Tableau, where it works quite well when appended to client databases.
