Hi, all.
I'm trying to apply CDF.NORMAL in matrix syntax. I receive a warning, "Text: cdf.normal
>Variable name is truncated to 8 characters." The use of CDF normal results in a termination of computations. I'm using matrix for the x, and scalars for the mean and standard deviation as specified by IBM/SPSS. Any idea how I can remedy this problem?
Thanks, everyone.
Brian

I wonder whether you are using a Statistics version that predates the addition of the CDF functions to MATRIX. They and the other MATRIX enhancements were first added to the Subscription version of Statistics but at least with V26 they appear in the regular version. The V26 fixpack addressed some MATRIX issues with memory, so you install that if you are running V26. On Sun, Nov 24, 2019 at 9:31 AM Dates, Brian <[hidden email]> wrote:

That would explain it, John. I'm on 25.0.2 non-subscription. I'm assuming there's not a workaround in matrix.
Thanks for chiming in so quickly.
Have a nice Sunday, all.

I recall there must be CDFNORM, CHICDF TCDF functions in MATRIX.

Variable names within MATRIX (prior vers. 26) are up to 8 bytes
long!

Just standardize your input "data value" (i.e. probit) parameter
