Using Replicate Weights in SPSS

Mesfin Mulatu
Hello All,

I searched the archives of past SPSS discussions regarding the possibility of using replicate weights from surveys in SPSS. Most of the discussion took place a few years back (late 1990 and early 2000) and it seems to suggest that SPSS does not take replicate weights. I am wondering if there have been changes in SPSS's capacity since then. If there are, I would appreciate any information on the subject.

I am using SPSS version 17 with the complex sample module.

Thank you.

Re: Using Replicate Weights in SPSS

SPSS Support
Hello Mesfin,

No relevant changes have been made as of Release 17. SPSS Complex Samples does not currently support replication-based methods of variance estimation for complex samples. It uses Taylor series linearization methods exclusively.
