Hi,
Due to circumstance beyond my control, I am being forced to change from v15 to v17 of SPSS on windows. I spoke to someone in Australia SPSS Support and they informed me that I won't be able to open outputs from v15 in the new version. Apparently there is a download called Legacy Viewer which will allow me to view the output, but I won't be able to do anything with the output - eg. edit graphs etc. What has been the experience of others? What issues (nightmares) am I likely to experience. I am in my second year of post grad research studies with half my data results in raw form in output files!!! Thanks Gary.
Unfortunately (and don't ask why) the university's licence does not apply to postgrads offsite with their own computer (I'm an external student). That is what happened last year, but incorrectly so. Also conversation with SPSS indicate that even this won't be possible from Oct 2009.
