V22 can't open Excel file

Cathie Atkinson-3
I recently installed SPSS V22 64 bit and some of my programs won't run because Excel won't open (error 2063).  It looks like it only applies to Excel files that were created with an Access query (both 2010).  The query names the sheet to match the file name, so I tried changing the sheet name and that worked.  In the short run, I can rename all the sheets and tell the folks who run the queries to make sure the names don't match, but I wonder if there's a fix on the SPSS end.  Queries are run routinely and by different people so I envision lots of hair pulling over this.

I did apply the patch without success, and I looked at the IBM website but couldn't find anything.  If this is a bug, hopefully it can be fixed!

Thanks for any suggestions,
Cathie

I believe when exporting the tables from Access it only creates one sheet in the Excel file. If that is the case, you can completely remove the SHEET subcommand from the SPSS syntax and it will just grab the first sheet.

actually, I didn't use the sheet subcommand.  I did try adding it in to see if it helped, but no luck.  I did discover that the issue is only present for xlsx files.  For Excel 2003, there is no error.

GET data/ type=xlsx
     /FILE='l:\shared\com\stress.health\restricted\data\HEART\data\Prepared\AccessPre.xlsx'
     /cellrange=full
     /readnames=on.
