I’d be interested to hear if others have these problems.
I just got 23 (23.0.0.0 32 bit on Win7 enterprise) installed on Friday and over the weekend and again I’ve encountered unusual problems, dare I call them bugs, in the syntax editor. Before I describe the problem, let me say that I have
unchecked all of the syntax editor defaults except for opening the error tracking pane and have set new courier as the default font. One problem is that when combining lines, text sometimes is overwritten in the display (‘display’ laid on top of ‘in the’).
It may be that the beginning few characters of the pulled up line are displayed over the end few characters of the current line. As part of this bug, the cursor position jumps forward and back over the problem text. The only editing fix seems to be to delete
overwritten text. Not a happy experience.
I also notice that column counter is not always accurate. Just now in the current line, which was a combined line, column position 27 is shown to be also column 32 in the problem text area.
Another thing I notice is that moving the right edge of the syntax editor window causes some of the lines to compress, to change position relative to the text in the line above.
What is required to talk to somebody in support? How is that done anymore?
