Dear all,
I have recently begun using SPSS 15 and beside obvious advantages I have found out that VARIABLES button on main SPSS window has some serious setbacks in comparison to previous versions. 'Go to case' works just fine, but I often used 'Variables' to go to some variable which is now much easier to do in Variable view. But imagine when you have many variables and do not know where they are and you have to find them. This is why I loved that button in previous versions since I could enter variable's name and there you go. But in SPSS 15 I can not do that. Any ideas why? Maybe I have not set some options correctly. Thanks Samir GfK BH Centar za istrazivanje trzista i javnog mnijenja d.o.o. In February, this was raised ( V15 problem with variable drop down
list?) and at that time, I replied...(I hear that it won't be a patch, let's hope for version 16! This is a problem that has prevented our group from using SPSS 15 since we depend on this function working. We have reported it to SPSS, but so far it has been considered low priority since not many have noticed/requested it. PLEASE send this in your request to get this corrected and maybe we'll see it in the next patch!
