Version identification

Maguin, Eugene
Can someone tell me how to identify the versions with a release number? The
specifics. I'm working on a computer that has 17.0 installed. The 'about'
box says 'statistics'. I've read on the spss website that there are three
different 'versions' of spss: student, gradpack and 'regular'. I was told
that this was the student version. The webiste says that the student version
is limited in both variables and cases and that the syntax editor is
disabled. However, I can open and execute a syntax file that opens a data
file with 80+ variables and more than a 1000 cases. It seems like I don't
have the student version. How do I know what I have?

Thanks, Gene Maguin

Re: Version identification

John F Hall
It's obviously not the Student version.  Check out the website to see what's in the full version over and above Gradpack  and try running one of those?
