What symbol to report

Dear Friends,

                I want to report a b weight in the results section of a manuscript. In a table I used B, do I also use B in the body or do I use b? Is there a reference available for the decision (I didn’t see anything in the APA manual.).

                I will greatly appreciate any help in this matter.
