Windows 10

Tim AT Home

Since I haven’t seen any posts on this yet – I’ll offer my two cents .

I neither suggest nor recommend but I have installed the preview Windows 10 build on one laptop

here that has v15 and v22 installed thinking – well if I lose that laptop (it a Lenovo – my oldest, an old processor but

does have 8 gig and a 1TB HD -  no big deal .. I wouldnt bother with the re-installs…

For the first time – I have installed an OS that has left the programs intact – best I can tell so far -  so SPSS, textPad, VMware

etc all seem to have survived the update – I have not by any means tested the full functionality but they all open and seem

to be ready to run ..

So at least for me – this is a first – not having to re-install, license, format etc etc etc ..

(the only issue I had was that I had to de-activate Windows Media Centre – which the upgrade did not like)

(this was an upgrade from Win 8 – I had not updated it to 8.1)

Thanks!
