I have been having a problem with SPSS 20 when I try to change the value displayed on the X-axis in the chart editor. I have several measures for some individuals and I want generate a scarterplot for two of them (One of these variable is a group of values that have decimal places and the other is integers). When I generate the scarterplot, the X-axis show all the values through it. I would like to display only whole number in a scale that increase in a determined rate, but, when I try to change the values in the chart editor the options of "minimum", "maximum" and "increament" aren't avaliable. When I transpose the axis, the options is avaliable for the same group of data in the y-axis. What could be the reason for this problem? I've tried to change the variable type, but it doesn't have any effect.
