By grouping variable Very low=1 low=2 average=3 medium=4 high=5 Summary variable-average summary variable -weighted 1 20% 10% 5% 45% 20% 3 3.35 2 5% 0% 10% 30% 55% 3 4.3 3 4 5 So, I am taking the value for each category, multiplying by the percent in each category and adding them over each grouping variable.
