I try to explain regular use of the Internet by some socio-demographic
and social capital data from the European Social Survey. In a logistic regression I got an odds ratio of 19.98 when explaining the regular access to the Internet in Hungary by respondents with tertiary-level educational attainment in comparison to people with below secondary-level education. Before drawing far-reaching conclusions from such a result I would like to know which methodological erreors might create such a strong effect. B S.E. Wald df Sig. Exp(B) 2.99 0.34 77 1 0.00 19.92 In fact, for other European countries at the time of the survey (2002/03) I get odds ratios of at least 1/4 for a country with an advanced diffusion and a relatively excellent educational level, and up to 1/10 in other North and Central European countries. I think it may be helpful if you provide additional statistics on the
parameters. What you have given by itself does not say much about the statistical findings.
