Dear SPSS users. I am recently trying to replicate the way SPSS uses to
calculate the Levene's test for homogeneity of variances.
I reviewed the algorithm of calculation in SPSS but I have a problem because I do not know which elements are considered (since the variables are not self explained). Does anybody has some insight about this test. My purpose is to do the calculation by hand (just in order to understand the logic the test has). Thanks. --

Levene test is just an ANOVA on the absolute residuals: ABS(value-sample mean).
