analise multivariate for discrete data

ami
Dear list,
I want to analize normal distibution discrete data. If I want to know how a variable influence another variable, I used crosstab and chi square. But If what can I do with the data, if I want to know how far a variable influence the relation of a variable with other variable.
Ok, clearly, I have three variable.
1. grup (1,2), which contain value 1 for responden with new therapy, and 2 for responden with old therapy.
2. mual (1,2) which contain value 1 for responden that have an effect of therapy and 2 for responden without effect of therapy
3.sex (1,2) which contain value 1 for male and 2 for female.
I have made analized by crosstab between variable grup and mual, and with chi square analized p<0.05. But I want to know how the third variable (sex) influence or not influence the relation between grup and mual. How can I perform the analise in SPSS?
If the third variable is continuous data, such as age, should I change first to discrete data?
And if I have other discrete variable that correlate with variable grup (1), is there any possibility to determine how strong each variable correlate (predict) with the first variable?
I really want your aid. Thank you in previous time

regards,
yanfa
