Hi,
This is a question on how to transfer my single user SPSS licence from one PC to another. SPSS France is not willing or not competent enough to answer this question. My problem is simple : I use SPSS 15 (and have a SPSS 16 update that I don't use) with a single-user licence. I have to sweep the hard disk and reinstall Windows Vista and want to know the correct way to transfer the licence from the old to the new disk. I think to remember that I have to resend my licence to the SPSS licence server. But how ? And is this the way to to ? I thought to find this basic information on the web site but did not succeed. During three phone calls SPSS France was first not able to find my IBM client number - how should I have one when I bought the licence in 2007 ? - and then support told me here that they don't intend to help and to contact the sales department. They want to shell me another 4,000 € ??? Regards F. I have all the doc and my legit code number, but this is a single-user
licence and I remember for SPSS this means single-machine licence. I don't want to be excluded from my major work tool. - Frank Thomas On 12/09/2011 20:11, ViAnn Beadle wrote: > Do you have the install CD and license code number? If so, just install it on your new PC and it will ask you to license your system.
