Hi list,
I´m working on a frequency data set, in which one line represents more than one case. Now I´d like to duplicate the lines to create an indivudal data set. For expample a line that represents 20 cases should become 20 lines. (The stata command would be "expand by"). Does anybody know the spss command to do so? Hope you may help me. ===================== To manage your subscription to SPSSX-L, send a message to [hidden email] (not to SPSSX-L), with no body text except the command. NO!! Why would that help?
If one actually needs to create replicate cases then LOOP/XSAVE is the solution. OTOH!!!!!!! Maybe OP needs to merely *WEIGHT* the file. It is sometimes useful to have a context for these things. *OP* -Why- do you need to 'Expand' the data set? I surmise that WEIGHT is actually what is required!. --
