The Personality Assessment Inventory has two norms...both 'inpatient' and 'non-residential' norms...I believe that is what Les Morey called them...anyway the PAI has a great manual and interpretative book that can be purchased that describes the procedures utilized by Morey (he was a Vanderbilt but now at Texas Tech?? I am not sure).

Subject: creating clinical norms
Hello,
This isn't strictly an SPSS question, so I apologize in advance if this
is a misuse of the listserve (and would be happy to take direction as to
where else to ask this question!).
Can someone point me to an article or text on developing norms for a
clinical population (N=500) when norms already exist for a non-clinical
population (N=1400)?
The main questions I have are: (1) When is it statistically warranted to
create different norms?, and (2) What are the different methods for
doing this?
Thanks in advance for your help.
