Hi,
I have continuous variable age and 2 categorical variables region and race
for example using 1991 General Social Survey sample dataset.
I want Region and Race on Row with Race nested within Region.
Then I want the Age in Column and to sort according to Median Age
descending for each race within each Region.
I can't seem to get it to sort according to Median Age descending though.
This is what I get:

Median Mean
Region of the United States
South East
Race of Respondent White 46 48
Black 41 46
Other 42 45
Total 44 48
North East
Race of Respondent White 42 47
Black 36 42
Other 35 37
Total 41 46
West
Race of Respondent White 40 44
Black 39 40
Other 38 40
Total 40 44
In Categories and Totals for both Region and Race, I have indicated to
Sort by descending median age.
Any ideas?
