data builder question

Lummus, Allan C.
I am having trouble adding questions to a spss file.

I see them in the list of variables.  I see them when I look at the file
in spss.  But when I look at the file in data entry the question is not
visible.

Can someone help.

Thanks

Allan

So you don't see the variable in the Variables window? I think it's time to
call Tech Support. Might be a mismatch between versions or something like
that.

I can see it under VARIABLES and FORM View, but not under QUESTIONS or
TABLE view.  On a couple of accassions I have managed to add a QUESTION,
but they end up at the end table in TABLE VIEW (even though they show up
under form view in the correction location).

Yes, When I add it (Design view) in FORM it adds another variable, but
it is not visible in TABLE VIEW or when I look at the list of QUESTIONS.

Have you added the variable to the form? If so, does it show the
appropriate
value?

No I see them in the VARIABLE window, but when I go to either QUESTIONS
or TABLE VIEW they are either not their at all or if on a couple of
occasions they are added to the end of the table.
