data verification

Scott Roesch
Hi all:

I am using SPSS/PASW 19.0 for Windows and would like to verify data
entry. I have two data files for which two different data entry
individuals have entered the same data. Is their an automated way in
the version of SPSS/PASW that I am using that will verify if and where
data entry is different between the two files? Thanks!

Scott

Re: data verification

The SPSSINC COMPARE DATASETS extension command available from the SPSS Community website (www.ibm.com/developerworks/spssdevcentral) provides the ability to compare two datasets on either or both of the metadata and the case data.  It writes summary results to the Viewer and can write detailed difference results to the dataset.

It requires the Python Essentials also available from the Community site, but it does not require any Python knowledge to use it.
