data window closes without prompt to save

Some time ago I raised this issue. When I have more than one data window open, and then I close one of those windows, very often 2 windows close. If I have only two windows open then both close and I am left with syntax and output. It happens quite a lot that I have just opened a file, maybe read in an excel file, and I go to close data I was just working with and lose the file I just imported from excel. There’s not prompt to save, the file I just imported is gone and I have to import again.  This happens all day long.

 

Is there a fix for this? I’m working with 17.0.3 (the PASW experiment). Or is 17 no longer receiving support.

It also happens very often that I open a new data file and the file that was open get’s closed and replaced, without any prompt about saving.
