discriminant analysis function formula

Hi

i am running Discriminant analysis which included two types o loading: the standardized and the standardized coefficients ...on of the has a constant value and the other does not....... my question : which one to use for formulating the discriminant function formula??

thank you

The algorithms are included under <help>.

Do you intend to apply the results to more cases?

I don't have access to SPSS at the moment, but if I recall correctly there
are now ways to save regression, DFA, and other scoring to apply to other
cases.

However, it should still be possible to add cases with a code outside the
values used on the discriminating group variable. Then re-run the DFA, and
look at the results of the classification phase.  You should be able to
retain a variable with the assigned group.
