emacs?

Is there a way to get the SPSS syntax window (in Windows 7) to recognize
Emacs commands?

Please provide some sort of use case scenario?
I'm having difficulty understanding the goal state/intention behind this question.

The Syntax Editor is built in, and you can't substitute emacs or another external editor.  Some folks, though, do use emacs outside of Statistics and have it submit jobs and get the output back (as text).
