I am having a problem in calculating time between two dates. I have 50 cases and all of the cases work except 5 that are 1942, 1940 and 1930. Anybody have any ideas.

Are they 2 digit years?
Check your settings under Edit-->Options-->Data (tab)-->Set Century Range for 2-digit years (top right) The default is 1945 so year values of 30,40 and 42 would be interpreted as 2030, 2040 and 2042. Yes they are two digit years. I tried that first. I chose Custom and changed it to 1920 to 2019, saved the file, reopened it and I get the same results. I am stumped. I used the pulldown menu and wrote syntax...with the same result.

Now you need to say more about your syntax and what exactly is happening before anyone can help.
