help longitudinal analysis

Somebody could help me to understand the difference which exists between repeated measurements at multiple levels and longitudinal data analysis?. Can anyone recommend their book for this data analysis?

I am not sure what you mean by repeated measures "at multiple levels".

In repeated measures, the same construct is measured on the same cases
under different conditions. Repeated measures design factors are also
called "within subject" factors. The different conditions need not be
time. I might obtain behavioral ratings of children from a mother,
father, and a teacher. I might measure performance on a task under 3
levels of complexity of task, under 3 levels of stress.  That would give
2 repeated measures factors, *crossed.

*briefly, longitudinal analysis *on the same cases* is a form of
repeated measures.  The same construct is measured the under different
conditions of *time*, e.g., pre, post 1 her, post 1day, etc. or 2001,
2002, 2003, etc.  or at school grade1 grade3, grade5, etc. A time based
design factor can be crossed by another repeated measures factor. When
there are many levels of a time variable, time series methods are used.
