Hi Kevin,
The versions differ in their feature sets, the duration of the license,
the level of support provided, and of course in their cost.
The Student Version includes SPSS Base only, with a perpetual license
and installation support. The GradPack includes Base, Advanced Models
and Regression Models (the Windows version also includes Amos), with a 4
year license, and installation support.
Once you get to the 'commercial version' you can choose which additional
modules you need. Each additional module you include adds to the cost.
There are also various options licensing and support options.
