how do I input large ascii >10000

Nels Barrett
I am requesting instructions on inputting a large data set. I have SPSS 16
on a PC.  I have several variables in separate ascii grids.  Each grid
(262 x 144) equals one case in a sequence of 37728 entries.  When I try to
use the text data wizard, I can read the data as 1 case but no more than
10000 entries.  I was not able to find any help in the manual or in the
knowledgebase.  Any Ideas? or workarounds (that you know work)?
