installing pyton

Frans Marcelissen-2
I bought a student license of spss 17. This version is on one cd, but as far
as I can see the python integration module is not included. Nothing is asked
about that during installation, and the cd does not contain a file called
python. The documentation suggests that this should be an option during
installation. Python is also not automatically (when I try to run a command
it says "Configration file spssdxcfg.ini is invalid because the LIB_NAME is
NULL.)" . I cannot find a place to download the integration module.

What am I doing wrong?

Hi,
Of course this was the first spot where I looked. But I couldn't find it.
And after some time I found out: indeed you were right. It is on
http://www.spss.com/devcentral/index.cfm?pg=downloadDet&did=107
Thanks, problem solved.
