link to smartviewer

Art Kendall
Is the program that enables people who do not have spss to view .spv files still available?

What is the link to it? I tried to find it on the download page but it kept coming up with a form as if I were trying to download SPSS itself.

Does it allow the user to do all the things that can be done when reading an .spv file into SPSS itself like rotate 3D graphs and fit loess lines?

Hi Art.  Try this:

1. Login to the Support website (http://support.spss.com/Tech/default.asp).
2. Click on Utilities (on the left).
3. Click Statistics for Windows, then Legacy Viewer.

HTH.

Thanks Bill and Bruce.

I found both Legacy viewer which used to be called Smartviewer.

The current version is called SmartReader 19.

I did not check it out thoroughly but it did allow editing of graphs.  I specifically tried fitting a regression line to a scatter plot and it allowed that.

The chart editor is similar but not identical to that in SPSS.
