loglinear analysis

Jordan Kennedy
Hi all:

I need to do a loglinear analysis (multiway frequency analysis) in SPSS 16.0. Does one of the loglinear options give odds ratios? If so, how? If not, can anyone provide any sort of syntax or guidance on how to go from the output of a loglinear analysis to generating odds ratios? Thanks in advance!

Re: loglinear analysis

Alex Reutter

Have a look at either the GENLOG procedure (Analyze > Loglinear > General or Logit...) and the GENLIN procedure (Analyze > Generalized Linear Models > Generalized Linear Models...).  Note that GENLIN fits much more than loglinear models; there is a simple example in the help that shows how to set up a Poisson loglinear model.  Both should give odds ratios.
