losing setting for journal file location between sessions.

Art Kendall
A colleague is in an environment with SPSS 17 running under Windows
server 2003.

She goes to <edit> <options> <file locations> and sets where she wants
her journal file to be kept.

The next time she logs in that filespec setting is not shown under
<edit> <options> <file locations>.

I have not used server versions of SPSS.  Is this a matter of privileges?

How can she have this setting preserved between sessions so she can have
a cumulative journal?

SPSS Support
Art,

Do you know whether she's using the same client machine each time or a different one, and do you know whether the SPSS client is installed on the machine(s) she's using?
