multiple regression plots

jimjohn
hi guys i have a multiple linear regression i conducted in spss. i want to be able to see in a plot hwo good the fitted line is compared to the actual observed values. can anyone tell me which graph i should choose to do this? would it be a scatter plot, and whcih of the variables (i see zpred, zpresid, dependent, not really sure what all of these mean). i know the residual is the difference between the actual and fitted, i just want to plot the fitted line and then show all the dots representing the observed values. however, since this isn't just a simple linear regression, i guess the plot would ghave to be 3d? any ideas on whats a good plot to use? thanks.
