opening output in a newer version

I received output generated in V 15. I am working with v 13.

I just need to view the output, not do anything with it.

I recall there use to be a free viewer-but cannot find it.

I already used up my 15 day free trial for V 15 a few months ago.

Any suggestions? I was actually waiting for v 16 to come out before I upgraded.

As I understand it, output files are not backward compatible--so you
won't be able to open 15 data in 13.
I am not sure about the SPSS SmartViewer that comes with 13 would have
any better success as I suspect it would have the same compatibility
issues.

You could ask the sender to 'Export (the output) to Word' and send you
the Word file.
