ordinal logistic regression partial proportional odds

Alice Sullivan
Hi all,

I have tried running an ordinal logistic regression where the dependent
variable is the number of exams passed: 0, 1, 2, or 3.

The parallel lines test was highly significant, which I guess means that
the proportional odds assumption is invalid in this case

It has been suggested to me that I try a partial proportional odds model
instead. Does anyone have any advice about this? Is it something I can
do using SPSS?

Many thanks!

Alice
