In SPSS 21 Is there a way to save a an output file to PDF preserving the navigation pane?
If not, what is the link to the viewer for SPSS 21 output files?

The navigation pane is included as bookmarks in the PDF unless you change the default setting in the Export dialog. However, PDF doesn't display it by default. In Acrobat, use View > Show/Hide > Navigation Pane > Bookmarks to turn this on. My recollection is that we had hoped to have this on by default but there wasn't a way to set that option in the export. Thank you.
I thought I recalled something like that, but could not find it in the archives. Unless the output needs pivot tables, this would reduce the need for the viewer.

Hi Art. Have you ever tried exporting output to Excel for sharing with folks who don't have SPSS? One of my colleagues suggested it to me a couple months ago, and I quite like it. One has access to the cells in tables (for copying, for example); and the row numbers in Excel are useful when directing someone to a particular spot in the output.
Cheers, Bruce

Good idea.
years ago IIRC there could be line numbers on SPSS output. (Or was that any listing file could have line numbers via the TOPS-10 OS?) I'll look through the help etc.

Using OUTPUT MODIFYING or SPSSINC MODIFY OUTPUT you can add sequence numbers to Viewer objects (but not within them)
