problem in correspondence table

Shlomo Getz

Hello,

In correspondence analysis, I have one variable with 6 category and the second  with 4 categories.

DATASET ACTIVATE DataSet1.

CORRESPONDENCE TABLE=institute(1 6) BY residence(1 4)

  /DIMENSIONS=2

  /MEASURE=CHISQ

  /STANDARDIZE=RCMEAN

  /NORMALIZATION=SYMMETRICAL

  /PRINT=TABLE RPOINTS CPOINTS

  /PLOT=NDIM(1,MAX) BIPLOT(20).

The correspondence table show a 3x3 matrix (instead of 6x4) and the frequencies are  all wrong. The overview of rows and columns refers only to the categories in the correspondence table, but the plots showl the 24 points.

I am using spss 20. When running the same syntax in version 19, I did not encounter any problem.

Any suggestions?  I don't have access to version 19 anymore.

Thanks,

Shlomo
