reading 17.0 files with 15.0

Jill Adelson
Good evening,

I have PASW 17 on my work computer. However, I want to run some analyses and read some files on my personal laptop. My personal copy is SPSS Graduate Pack 15.0. Does anyone know if I will be able to read the files I created from 17 (data, output, and syntax) with my older version? Just wondering before I take the time to load it.

Thanks!
Jill

Data files are the same as before, and should load fine. I think a
couple of problems have been posted on the list, though, so post if
you try it and there are any difficulties.

Syntax files should be no problem at all, except you'll have to
remove any features added since SPSS 15.

And output files -- no hope. The install disk for <whatever, with
'S'> release 17 should have a copy of an output viewer for 17 files,
which may be freely copied and used.

-Best of luck,
  Richard
