You can define, copy and paste missing values in Variable View of the Data Editor.

In syntax:

missing values varlist (value list) /varlist (value list)...etc.

See my answer to value labels.  Missing values are covered in the same tutorial:

missing values  <varlist1> (<value list1>

                            /<varlist2> (<value list2>)

 

etc. etc.

 

Don't forget the full stop to end the sentence or the primes round the value labels when you do those. 

 

All my tutorials are gentle, step-by-step, with screenshots at each step, and are syntax based in preference to drop-down menus, but most have parallel examples of the menus as well.
