running frequency tables

hi,
i am a new spss user. i would like to run frequency tables and exclude the missing systems/values for each variable. any advice?

SPSS procedures exclude user missing or system missing values automatically.

Part of your data definition phase is to tell SPSS what values indicate
data that is not valid.
You can do this in the data view or by using syntax.

type "missing values" in a syntax window.  put your cursor on the word
"missing" and hit the F1 key.
