small but annoying

Zdaniuk, Bozena-2
Hello, Folks. In version 17, when I stretch one column in the "variable view" mode, all other columns stretch automatically to the same width. I find it very annoying. Is there a way to turn off this automatic adjustment of column width? thanks a lot.

This has caused me countless frustration!! However, I believe it only
happens when I have one or more rows highlighted, and then try to adjust
the width of just one column, and then all variable widths change, so I
figured it was just my own fault.
