spss options/set century range

Raffe, Sydelle, SSA
I selected to create a custom range (1911- 2010) instead of the default, but spss is not paying attention. Year 33 becomes 2033 instead of 1933. Suggestions?

Re: spss options/set century range

Rick Oliver-3

This setting only affects new values entered or read. It does not affect existing values. So you cannot, for example, read in a file with two-digit year values and then change the century range. You have to change the century range first.
