spss15 vs spss16(is slower)

msherman
I have been running spss15 side by side with spss16 and everything that is run (eg. regression, anova, PCA) in spss16 takes almost twice as long to run. Even when I attempt to open up a data file or an output file it takes longer in spss16 to actually get it to open. This is occurring along with all of the crashes of spss16.  martin sherman

Re: spss15 vs spss16(is slower)

<R. Abraham>
I fully agree that spss 16.0 version is slow, and offers very few
advantages over ver 15. In fact some of the nice features in spss 15 are
no longer in spss 16.
I still use the spss 15 ver although I also have the v16 installed. Also I
am not able to open the output created using spss 15, in spss 16. The file
extension is changed from .spo to .spv.

I hope SPSS will restore the features of v 15, and improves the v 17.
Until then I am going to stick with v15.
