My spss16.0 license recently expired and now I am trying to run my 16.0 syntax with PASW18.0 with little success.  Are there any conversion programs that will translate 16.0 into PASW18.0?  Also, can anyone recommend a good PASW18.0 programming book?  Thanks in advance for your help.

Bruce, syntax has remained almost completely stable from version to version. At the same time, specific commands have been enlarged in subsequent versions.  Post what syntax gives you problems AND post the errors that you get. I want to see this.

AFAIK there are *NO* compatibility issues WRT ver 16 to ver 18.
Specifics WRT your 'little success' might be useful.
Error messages?
