Low vs. High empathy   by  Angry vs Neutral
makes up a 2x2 contingency table, which gives a
simple chi-squared test.

I would have to wonder why you do not look at the
average empathy score, instead of losing information
by creating an arbitrary dichotomy.  That would be a
simple t-test on Empathy, for the Angry vs Neutral groups.
