Dear all,
I urgently need to run some analyses for a presentation and despite working
with SPSS all morning, I now get this error message:
>Warning # 849 in column 23. Text: mi_NZ
>The LOCALE subcommand of the SET command has an invalid parameter. It
could
>not be mapped to a valid backend locale.
I had thought that there may be some strange font (some of the respondents
used non-english font), so changed the fonts, but it did not solve the
issue. I now get this message with any SPSS file that I try and open (even
files that worked fine this morning). I tried restarting my computer - no
difference. Any suggestions of how I can fix this bug? I am traveling
overseas, so I don't have installation CD's or anything like that with me.
What I need to do is merge two SPSS data files (which I have to sort first)
and then run some simple dependent t-tests/repeated ANOVAs. The error
message does not allow me to sort the file anymore or save the recoded file
to a different format.
Many thanks in advance
Ron
