Hi everyone,
As some of you may know, there are two problems in importing data and saving data to SQL / ORACLE.
1. When you open a Data base with a new query using the Database Wizard, SPSS will check in addition to the Tables, all The Synonyms in the DB. If it happens that there are hundreds of them it might take some very long time to see the tables.
2. When you export data from SPSS to the SQL/ORACLE DB, SPSS is doing a commit after each row. If the file you save has big amount of rows it will take a lot of time to complete the data export, and will use unnecessary server resources .
We at Genius.co.il (IBM business partners) developed an ODBC tool that solves these two problems.
