total z score

Hi

I have a data about torrance creative thinking test, and i did the following:

 

fluency raw score converted to a standard z sscore (flz)

flexibility raw score converted to a standard z sscore(flxz)

origanality raw score converted to a standard z sscore (orgz)

now

to find a z score for the total raw score of the whole test

I computed totalz = (flz+flxz+orgz)

then

i computed a z score for the last variable

my question:

can we add different z scores to make the new variable totalz????
