Several questions come to mind.
1. How do you know the counts are inaccurate? What other method are you using to compute them?
2. Can you generate a small sample data set and command syntax that illustrates the problem?
3. Are there any user-defined missing values in your file?
4. Do you have a filter turned on?

I am running frequencies in descriptive statistics in SPSS 21 and the results are wrong. That is, it reports inaccurate counts of each response type to a survey question in the output table. Has anyone else experienced this? Your guidance on what I may be doing wrong would be greatly appreciated!
