It's not the Widths column, it's the Labels and Values columns. I drag the
separators sideways to see the full text of labels. It's lazy on my part, I
know, but it's irritating having to adjust the widths of the Labels and
Values columns every time I open a *.sav file.

John, are you adjusting column widths manually or via syntax (with the
VARIABLE WIDTH command)? If manually, does the same thing happen when you
do it via syntax before saving the file?
